President Donald Trump faced intense criticism from local residents during a town hall meeting for Republican Representative Rich McCormick in his Georgia district on Thursday, with one person labeling him a “megalomaniac.” During the town hall meeting, many constituents harshly criticized the Republican lawmaker for backing the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), particularly its plan for massive federal layoffs and budget cuts.
He continued, “The fact that I came here was because I knew there’d be about 75% people that were unhappy, and I wanted to have a discussion about how we can get to the end point and solve some problems. I didn’t have to come here. My staff didn’t have to come here.”
Says the Representative to his constituents .. I guess technically he is correct, he’s already won their vote so he no longer needs to pretend he cares.. but come on man.
