The Dumbest Trade War in History in History

Staring off with Trudeau’s comments:

“From the beaches of Normandy to the mountains of the Korean Peninsula, from the fields of Flanders to the streets of Kandahar, we have fought and died alongside you during your darkest hours,” he said. “We’ve built the most successful economic, military and security partnership the world has ever seen.” … “We didn’t ask for this but we will not back down,” he said.

Wall Street Journal slams Trump’s tariff plans:

WSJ “None of this is supposed to happen under the U.S.-Mexico-Canada trade agreement that Mr. Trump negotiated and signed in his first term. The U.S. willingness to ignore its treaty obligations, even with friends, won’t make other countries eager to do deals,” they wrote. “Maybe Mr. Trump will claim victory and pull back if he wins some token concessions. The Guardian “I won’t sugarcoat it — our nation could be facing difficult times in the coming days and weeks,” Trudeau said on Friday while speaking to an advisory council on Canada-US relations. “I know Canadians might be anxious and worried, but I want them to know the federal government — and indeed, all orders of government — have their backs.”

OPINION

So, why is he doing this? If it’s to boost manufacturing in America that’s reasonable, but this isn’t the way to do that. We don’t have the capacity to do this and ramping that up will take years. So, that’s not the true reason. For Canada it’s certainly not illegal drugs or border issues. It’s definitely not going to bring down prices. So why?

Here are some opinions, you decide..

• Tank the Canadian economy so he can try and convince the population to be the “51st state”.
• Trump wants to erode all Western Alliances, including NATO, to destroy democracy worldwide and allow the oligarchy to assume control of all nations. This is Putin’s goal, and it is Trump’s goal, and they’ve colluded to trick the dumbest, most racist people in those democracies into voting for it all. *Elon and his billionaire accomplices want to create a techno-fascist state. Before that can happen, they need to break some things, one of which is the economy—tank it so that they can buy up all the failing businesses. A similar thing happened during the collapse of the Soviet Union, an event that created the Russian oligarchs of today. This move also has the impact of maintaining the class hierarchy—extract money from the poor (tariffs impact lower-income individuals the most) and funnel it to the top. Elon has gained access to the Treasury Department’s payment systems; it does not get any more “funnel it to the top” than that. One important thing to note is that Trump has said repeatedly that it was in the late 1800s when America was at its wealthiest. He is referring to the Gilded Age, a time when Carnegie, Rockefeller, Vanderbilt, and other robber barons lived. Tariffs during this period were quite high. The one thing everyone should take from this is that it was NOT a good time for the common man; laborers on strikes were frequently shot and killed.
• These are the men funding every attack on our society that we’re currently seeing, their plan is to destroy democratic institutions around the world & reshape them into a Techno-fascist dystopia, where they own & control literally every aspect of our lives.
