Trump announces the US will be placing tariffs on steel, aluminum and copper

I don’t think this could be said any more bluntly than this: CONSUMERS PAY MORE ON TARIFFS

In a speech on Monday, Trump said he would impose tariffs on aluminium and copper - metals needed to produce U.S. military hardware - as well as steel, to entice producers to make them in the United States.

It takes time to spin up factories this is why incentives to move are better for everyone.
